Objective

Develop the skills and competencies required to support and / or guide a group of tourists in a group travel both in North America and abroad.

 

Content

  • Define the role and requirements to be good at escorting a group travel.
  • Develop communication skills, improvisation and leadership

Simulation of accompanying as a Group leader

On the second weekend, a practice takes place by motorcoach bus and by foot to get into the role, in a city around 2 hours away from the College. This day will allow you to put the skills learnt into action. A stop at the airport is also be included in order to familiarize yourselves on what procedures to take with groups involving departures and arrivals.

 

Duration

Two weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 16:30 pm, except for the excursion to Ottawa, on the second Saturday, you will be back in Montreal around 19:30.

Summer session: August 19-20 and August 26-27, 2023

Fall session: November 4-5 and November 11-12, 2023

Cost

$ 675 (without overnight)

$ 1290 (with overnight)

 

(a $ 100 discount is given to students and graduates of Collège April-Fortier’s AEC)

 

Diplomation

Successful completion of the training leads to a certificate issued by Collège April-Fortier.  

Unlike the AEC in National and International Travel Organizationthis specialized training is not sanctioned by the MES and therefore does not lead to college credits.
